Description: In solid mechanics, even the smallest structures can play an important role in the distribution of stress and strain. The Developmental Injury Biomechanics Lab investigates how structure and mechanics change as we age, and how these changes affect our risk for injury. Recently, we’ve been investigating microstructures between the brain and skull, and have found that despite their relatively small size, they play a critical role in the prediction of traumatic brain injury.

All are invited. Drinks provided!
