Mission Statement

In order to meet the demand of an affordable Autonomous and Semi-Autonomous helicopter platform, our group was formed. To date, a cross platform system designed around the idea being able to fly a helicopter while at the same time being able to have it fly itself at the flick of a switch, hasn’t been accomplished for the general masses. These two concepts, coupled together, allow a modular adaptable system to be designed that isn’t dependent on only one device, or component, company for support. Our end product will enable the user to put the helicopter in ‘helper’ mode, in which it will act like a supervisor when flying the helicopter. This supervisor mode is called our semi-autonomous mode. For the full-on autonomous mode, the helicopter will perform basic maneuvering skills such as hovering, take off and landing and following a predefined path accurately.”
