Here are some of the tutorial example assemblies that Mike Spens from Go Engineer? presented.
It is STRONGLY suggested that you do the 3 cosmos motion tutorials before doing your own simulations or
Example 1
Chainsaw centrifugal clutch example
(he used just one of the linkage arms in his simulation for solver efficiency)
Clutch assembly files: Attach:Main/Motion_Clutch.zip
Associated stored results: Attach:Main/Motion_Clutch-results.zip
The goal in these simulations was to size the spring so that the clutch engages the outer ring around 2500 RPM so that the chain saw doesn’t start moving while idling (safety!!).
Example 2
Pendulum and cart.
Assembly for cart on rails with suspended pendulum: Attach:MotionRailcar.zip
Example Cosmos Motion simulation movies:
- Attach:gears_screw_mechanism.avi
- Attach:PLANETARY_Gears3.avi
- Attach:actuator_clamp_assy.avi
- Attach:crab.avi
- Attach:Customer-NASCARwheel.avi
- Attach:ddm_geneva_mechanism2.avi
- Attach:Differential_Animation.mpg
- Attach:VAR_Alex-RCcarDrop_test2.avi
- Attach:Motion-shakerTable.avi
Note that you can output movies of anything that you have displayed in the main window that includes the motion of the modeled parts and output graphs.
