Over the first several weeks of the semester, you will be formulating a project statement and direction, which will form the basis for your executive summary. The executive summary is a 1–2 page summary of your project, what you are doing, why and how you are doing it. The executive summary is the primary item (aside from the table of contents and other details that is in section 1 of your Final Report
There will be several drafts produced of this document. The first and final draft will need to be signed by your faculty advisor to receive credit (no exceptions).
Realize that between the time your write your “final (3rd) draft” and when turn in your final report (in December), that your vision for your project may change, so that you will likely want to revise this statement for your final report.
Please consult the Communications TA and your faculty advisor when putting together your project executive summary.
