Be aware of the approval timeline. Petitions for Fall courses need to be submitted by April 1 in the preceding semester. Petitions for Spring courses need to be submitted by November 1 in the preceding semester.

Any Special Topics courses (3960, 5960, etc) should not be petitioned using this form. Because of the nature of Special Topics courses, they should be routed through the Petition for Exception to Policy form.
